Tuesday afternoon is your opportunity to tour the new Columbia Regional Airport (COU) terminal.
The city is planning guided tours for the public and the news media today at 3:30, where you’ll be able to walk through the construction site and see the progress that’s been made.
The $23-million new terminal is scheduled to open this summer and will replace the aging current terminal, which was built in 1968. The project’s main funding sources is a hotel tax approved by Columbia voters in 2016.
The new terminal will feature several boarding bridges, a restaurant and an interior Service Animal Relief Area.
