The one-year anniversary of Columbia Regional Airport’s (COU) $23-million new terminal is fast approaching. It will be in mid-October.

COU airport manager Mike Parks will join 939 the Eagle’s Fred Parry in-studio tomorrow morning at 7 to reflect on the one-year anniversary and the community’s reaction to it. Mr. Parks will also update listeners on food service and parking at COU. Several listeners have also asked about direct flights to Charlotte. Mr. Parks will also address that as well.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson traveled to COU for the October 18, 2022 ribbon-cutting for the new terminal. Hundreds of people packed the event, with residents literally lined up out the door to hear from the governor and others. Governor Parson predicts the terminal will make Columbia a top medical destination.

Mr. Parks will also discuss planned capital improvements at COU during the program.
