Columbia Regional Airport (COU) officials plan an April event to give you a behind-the-scenes tour of the $23-million new terminal under construction.
The guided tour will take place on April 12 at 3:30 pm.
COU manager Mike Parks says it’s important for the public to have an opportunity to see the progress that’s been made. Anyone who needs special accommodations for the tour should call (573) 817-5064. You can also call that number if you have any questions about the tour.
The new terminal is set to open this summer and will replace the aging current terminal, which was built in 1968. The project’s main funding source is a hotel tax approved by Columbia voters in 2016.
