Columbia to build new fire station near East St. Charles Road

You’ll have an opportunity Wednesday afternoon to view location and design concepts about the new fire station that will be built in east Columbia.

City officials have scheduled an informal open house at 5:30 pm at city hall, regarding fire station ten.

Columbia assistant chief Brad Fraizer says the $2.5 million fire station will be built at East Richland and East St. Charles roads. Funding is coming from the 2015 capital improvement sales tax extension.
