Federal prosecutors say a TSA employee who lives in Columbia is charged in federal court with attempted production of child pornography.
64-year-old Daniel Meenehan has been arrested and charged after a months-long investigation by federal Homeland Security agents in St. Louis and Boone and Miller County Sheriff’s deputies.

Federal prosecutors say Meenehan allegedly made 41 transactions to minor victims in exchange for nude images during a one-year period. Sheriff’s deputies in mid-Missouri’s Miller County notified federal Homeland Security agents in St. Louis in late October. If convicted, Meenehan would face a maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison.
He’s currently being held in the Cole County jail.
