Columbia woman to be sentenced in deadly 2019 accident involving pedestrian

A Columbia driver who killed a pedestrian in 2019 was scheduled to learn her prison sentence on Wednesday morning.

Regine McCracken pleaded guilty in March to involuntary manslaughter and more for her role in the accident on Grindstone two years ago. Her car crashed into Randall Siddens and a police cruiser on Grindstone. The 33-year-old Siddens died from his injuries months later.

Investigators say McCracken was speeding and on a video chat while driving.
