A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Columbia woman who allegedly was driving 104 miles per hour when she struck and killed a pedestrian who was trying to cross I-70 near the Lake of the Woods exit in March.

Boone County prosecutors have charged 38-year-old Tyia Bush with felony involuntary manslaughter and two misdemeanors. The Columbia Police Department’s graphic two-page probable cause statement says Bush called Joint Communications that night after midnight, saying she thought she had struck a deer or something. Court documents say the victim’s body and a portion of the victim’s left leg was found in the median at mile marker 131.

Our news partner KMIZ identifies the pedestrian who was struck and killed as 30-year-old Ezekiel Rachow. Court documents allege Bush was driving 104 miles per hour in a 60 mile an hour zone.
