Public safety in Columbia will be one of the topics at Friday morning’s joint meeting between Columbia’s city council, Boone County commissioners, Columbia Public Schools (CPS) and Mizzou.

We’ll also hear details from Boone County commissioners about housing affordability code reforms and on rural gravel road paving efforts.

We expect to hear an update from Columbia Public Schools (CPS) about charter schools during the joint meeting.

We’ll also hear an update from the Columbia Chamber of Commerce about their CEO search. Longtime Columbia Chamber of Commerce president Matt McCormick left his position in late October after 12 years. McCormick is now president of the Ocala Metro Chamber in Ocala, Florida.
