Crime, Columbia Regional Airport (COU) and housing are some of the topics that Columbia city manager De’Carlon Seewood will focus on during Friday’s state of the city address.
Mr. Seewood delivers state of the city tomorrow at noon at city hall, and you are invited to attend. Columbia spokeswoman Sydney Olsen tells 939 the Eagle that Mr. Seewood will address numerous topics, including crime, improvements to Columbia Regional Airport, work being done to address housing and staffing. Ms. Olsen also expects Mr. Seewood to discuss the city’s new engagement efforts. She says Mr. Seewood will outline both highlights from the past year and challenges the city is facing.
Columbia’s current budget is about $558-million. Mr. Seewood will outline his budget blueprint later this summer.
