Columbia’s city council has rejected a proposed 194-unit apartment complex near Grindstone Parkway and Rock Quarry road. The apartments would have primarily housed college students.
Our news partner ABC-17 reports Monday night’s council vote was 5-1 against the proposal, with First ward council member Valerie Carroll voting yes and Sixth ward council member Betsy Peters not voting.
Residents who oppose the proposed “Retreat at Columbia” have traffic and congestion concerns.
