A few thousand people are expected for this weekend’s 45th annual heritage festival and craft show at south Columbia’s Nifong park on Ponderosa. The event takes place tomorrow and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm at the park, which is near Highway 63 and Grindstone Parkway.

Columbia Parks and Recreation says the free festival features traditional and roots entertainment on three stages and a handmade craft show. There will also be reenactors, artisans and tradespersons dressed in historic attire, along with live entertainment.

A mountain man camp will also be featured. The Boone County History and Culture Center will also be open both days and will be admission-free.
