Columbia’s heritage festival and craft show is this weekend at Nifong park

A few thousand people are expected for this weekend’s 45^th annual heritage festival and craft show at south Columbia’s Nifong park on Ponderosa. The event takes place tomorrow and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm at the park, which is near Highway 63 and Grindstone Parkway.

Columbia Parks and Recreation says the free festival features traditional and roots entertainment on three stages and a handmade craft show. There will also be reenactors, artisans and tradespersons dressed in historic attire, along with live entertainment.

A mountain man camp will also be featured. The Boone County History and Culture Center will also be open both days and will be admission-free.
