Columbia’s new economic development director has officially been sworn-in.
Paul Eisenstein was sworn-in during Monday night’s city council meeting. Mr. Eisenstein began his new job last week and is also the new Columbia Regional Economic Development Incorporated (REDI) president.
City manager De’Carlon Seewood predicts Mr. Eisenstein will help attract new investments to the city and region. Eisenstein replaced longtime Columbia REDI president Stacey Button, who retired this spring after serving in the position for ten years.
