Superintendent Klein is finishing his first year in that position with Columbia Public Schools (CPS) and currently earns a $255,000 salary. The contract he signed last July with CPS calls for his salary to increase six percent to about $270,300 for the 2026-2027 school year.

CPS is Missouri’s fourth-largest school district. One of Superintendent Klein’s top priorities has been recruitment and retention of teachers and staff. He has also described the community’s care for CPS as strong and deep.

Monday evening’s meeting starts at 6:30 at the Aslin building.
