Voters in Columbia’s third ward won’t know who their councilman will be until at least Friday.
Incumbent Karl Skala and challenger Roy Lovelady each received 1,102 votes in Tuesday’s election. There were also 13 write-in votes.
Boone County Clerk Brianna Lennon tells 939 the Eagle that military votes are due by Friday at noon and that her office will have their usual provisional ballots to do during the certification process.
In Columbia’s fourth ward, Nick Foster defeated Erica Pefferman by a vote of 3,564 to 2,142. Foster will succeed Councilman Ian Thomas, who did not seek re-election.
