Columbia’s three finalists for Utilities director to meet the public on Friday

Friday is your opportunity to meet the three finalists for the Columbia Utilities Director position.

The city will host a meet-and-greet tomorrow evening from 5 to 6:30 at city hall. You can arrive anytime during that timeframe to speak with the three finalists. Columbia spokeswoman Sydney Olsen says the three finalists are Amanda La Brier, Brian Dickinson and Columbia Utilities interim director Erin Keys.

Olsen says La Brier has 15 years experience and has worked as principal of Sans Carbone Sustainability since 2020. Olsen says Dickinson has 34 years of experience in the municipal and private water and wastewater industry and served as Colton California’s utility services director from 2021 to 2024.

Ms. Keys has served as interim director of Columbia Utilities since March 2024 and has worked for the department since 1994.
