Construction underway at Columbia Area Career Center

A groundbreaking ceremony hosted by Columbia Public Schools celebrated the beginning of construction on a $15 million dollar expansion and renovation of the Columbia Area Career Center. The project was approved by voters in 2022. The center is located on Providence Road near Rock Bridge High School. It provided career and technical education programs to more than 2,400 students last year. The 15,000 square foot addition is expected to be completed by the fall of 2025.
