Contractors starting work on I-70 bridges near Boonville this week

The state Department of Transportation (MoDOT) says rehabilitation of the I-70 bridges over Chouteau creek near Boonville begins today (Monday).

MoDOT says the 20-year-old bridges have reached the point where rehabilitation is necessary to extend the bridges’ life and usability.

Occasional lane closures in each direction are possible this week, according to MoDOT. Crews will close one lane in each direction of I-70 next week.

MoDOT says the rehabilitation and continued routine maintenance will add another 50 years of use for motorists.
