Coronavirus cases up slightly in Boone, Callaway counties; 31 more COVID-19 deaths statewide

Coronavirus cases increased slightly in Boone County Friday.

Another three positive cases were confirmed, with 32 cases now active. Boone County has seen 18 new cases in the last three days.

Camden County health officials say a patient from Boone County who partied at Backwater Jack’s and Shady Gators at Lake of the Ozarks over Memorial Day weekend has tested positive for COVID-19.

Tiger Tots day care in Columbia said Thursday one of the children there, who was asymptomatic, tested positive. Owner Paul Prevo has filed a lawsuit challenging local health restrictions during the pandemic.

Callaway County reported another two positive cases Friday. The county has seven active cases now.

Cole County has not reported a new case in the last three days. Two cases are currently active.

Audrain County confirmed another nine cases Friday, and now has 51 active cases.

Statewide, reported deaths from COVID-19 rose by 31 on Friday, to 738 total. Another 122 Missourians have tested positive for coronavirus, for a total of 12,795.
