A court hearing for a former Hickman baseball and football star who played Major League Baseball has been delayed until March.
Boone County prosecutors have charged 37-year-old Blake Tekotte with felony kidnapping and domestic assault for the alleged incident on Valentine’s day in Columbia.
CPD’s two-page probable cause statement quotes the victim as saying Tekotte wouldn’t let her leave that night, saying she had been unfaithful. Court documents say the woman was able to run out of the house and that Tekotte chased her into a neighbor’s front yard, where he allegedly assaulted her.
Tekotte was scheduled to make a court appearance today. The court hearing has been delayed until March 18.
