Boone County’s new daily positive total on Wednesday increased from the day before, to 63 new positives. Active cases dropped to 1,032, after 86 were released from isolation.
Hospitalizations in Boone went up slightly, to 52, and are the highest they’ve been. That is still below capacity though.
Callaway County confirmed its third COVID-19 death Wednesday. There are 20 new positives, with 118 active cases now. Cole County added 13 positives on Wednesday, and now has 136 active cases.
Missouri reported 1,362 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday. There were 12 new COVID-19 deaths, for a total of 1,673. The statewide positivity rate on tests stayed high at 13.5%.
