COVID-19 Update: Boone County reports 9th death

Boone County reported its ninth COVID-19 death on Thursday. The person was older than 80.

A milestone for Mizzou arrives, as Boone County active coronavirus cases keep dropping.

The university reports less than 100 active student cases. There were 25 new cases reported Thursday, and active cases are at 95.

Boone County reported 65 new positives on Thursday. The active case count increased to 367.

The Columbia Public Schools case tracker is still barely in range for some in-person learning according to that model, at 49.0. Hospitalizations rose in Boone County to 55, but stay below capacity.

Cole County confirmed 33 new cases Thursday. That increased active cases to 128.

Callaway County reported 10 more cases Thursday. Active cases at now at 90.

Missouri added 1,365 coronavirus cases on Thursday. Another five Missourians have died from COVID-19, for a total of 1,952. The seven-day positivity rate on virus tests rose slightly to 11.7%.
