Cole County reports its 20th death from COVID-19 on Thursday. It is also the fifth death reported this week in Cole.
The county also reported a record-high 90 new coronavirus cases Friday. That caused active cases to rise a lot, to 239.
Boone County had an increase Friday, with 83 new positives added. There are 370 active cases. Hospitalizations in Boone fell slightly to 81, and remain below capacity.
Callaway County’s active cases are up a lot Friday after a change in reporting methods, to 146.
Missouri reported a seven-day average of 1,522 daily coronavirus cases statewide. The latest positive test rate is 21%. There have been 2,657 total COVID-19 deaths statewide.
