CPS board approves middle, high school boundary changes

The Columbia Public Schools board of education has approved new boundaries for its middle and high schools.

The new map the board approved Monday night will take effect in the fall of 2020, when the new middle school opens on Sinclair Road. You can see more details on it here.

Ninth graders in the fall will be allowed to start at their new schools a year early if they want, but they have to provide their own transportation for that year. Students who will be juniors and seniors in the fall can finish at the same high school if they choose, but have to provide their own transportation too.
