The Columbia Public Schools board of education talks more about its return-to-learn plan on Monday afternoon.
The district recently announced it planned to use a hybrid model of in-person and online learning once classes start Sept. 8. But the district’s online coronavirus case tracker shows the Columbia area is averaging way more than 49 new positives a day, as of Sunday. That’s the level where CPS planned to switch to online-only learning.
The board may not make an official decision on the learning plan on Monday.
