CPS closes investigation of vandalism, racial slurs at Jackson R-2 football game

The Columbia School District released more information about a contentious football game between Battle High School Jackson R-2.

After a months-long investigation, Columbia Public School officials said they don’t have enough evidence of wrong-doing despite allegations of vandalism, racial slurs and inappropriate touching at the September 27th game.

The school district released its findings of the investigation on Tuesday afternoon, adding that most of the claims were unsubstantiated.

The district says it has wrapped up its investigation and transferred the matter to Human Resources.
