Columbia Public Schools (CPS) has released a timeline for the hiring of a new superintendent. CPS and the Missouri School Boards Association are requesting your input to ensure they focus on finding candidates who are the best fit for CPS and for the community. We have provided a link to the survey here.

The survey is open until December 29. The district notes survey responses are anonymous unless you provide your name voluntarily.

Former CPS Superintendent Dr. Brian Yearwood retired in late November, and former superintendent Dr. Chris Belcher is serving as interim superintendent through the remainder of the school year. The district is taking applications until January 5. CPS plans formal interviews and district tours with finalists during the week of February 10.
