Columbia Public Schools students slogged through some technical glitches with iPads and online meetings during day one of its 2020-21 year.
The district’s unofficial enrollment on Tuesday was 18,413 students. That is down from last year’s first-day total of 19,288. Official totals are due out in late September.
CPS says the district held 4,214 Zoom meetings as most students began the year learning online because of coronavirus concerns.
