CPS, Mizzou loosening coronavirus protocols

Columbia Public Schools and Mizzou are both loosening their coronavirus protocols.

The CPS district announced Monday that students and staff that need to quarantine for coronavirus reasons can now stay away for at least 10 days, instead of 14. Masks are still required indoors and on school buses, but are no longer required outdoors.

Mizzou announced Monday it will no longer require people on campus to wear a mask outdoors, although it is still encouraged. Masks are still required inside campus buildings.

The announcements came after local officials announced Monday that Boone County health orders are set to expire on May 12.
