Columbia Public Schools (CPS) says it has hired the Missouri School Boards Association (MSBA) to support the search for a new superintendent.
The district has released a timeline for the hiring of a new superintendent. Former CPS Superintendent Dr. Brian Yearwood has retired, and former superintendent Dr. Chris Belcher is serving as interim superintendent through the remainder of the school year.
CPS is encouraging the community to fill out a search survey from now until December 29. The district is taking applications until January 5. CPS plans formal interviews and district tours with finalists during the week of February 10.
