CPS updates sex education policy language

The Columbia Public Schools board of education on Monday night talked sex education policy.

Missouri lawmakers passed a bill last year requiring districts to teach students about sexual harassment, sexual violence, and consent during sex education. The district was already doing that, but the board had to agree to change some policy language to fit what the state wanted.

Parents can still opt out their kids from the sex education.
