Two people got away with just minor injuries after a crash that caused delays both directions on Interstate 70.
The Highway Patrol says 82-year-old Samuel Dyer of Marshall used a median U-turn for emergency vehicles at mile marker 136 on Wednesday morning. While trying to pull into the eastbound lanes, a semi hit Dyer’s SUV. Andrew Plattner’s semi hit the median cables and flipped.
Seatbelts don’t prevent crashes, but they often predict the outcome.
