Curbside recycling to resume

Some curbside recycling is going to resume in Columbia. The city struck a temporary deal with a Jefferson City company. Cardboard and many plastic food containers still go to the landfill. But bottles, cans and select plastic containers will go in blue bags for recycling. Drop-off centers remain closed. Officials say this fix is short-term. The city’s recycling facility was destroyed by a tornado in April.
