Dangerous cold in forecast through the weekend

The National Weather Service has issued multiple wind chill advisories during these dangerously cold conditions.

NWS meteorologist Jon Carney says we could see wind chills as low as negative 20. He recommends dressing in plenty of layers if you do go outside.

“Any exposed skin can develop frost bite very quickly, usually in less than 30 minutes. When you get down below 20 below zero, it’s less than 15 minutes.”

We could see record-low temperatures Sunday morning, near negative five. Wind chills may fall to near negative 25. And Carney says we could get 2-4 inches of snow, Sunday into Monday.
