Deadly Highway 5 crash near New Franklin

One young man is dead, and another young man is badly hurt, in a late night crash.

The Highway Patrol says Joshua Brice, 23, of Fayette tried to pass someone on Highway 5 just north of New Franklin at about 10:49 p.m. Monday. He crashed head-on into a car going the other way.

Brice has died. New Franklin native Clay Walker, 24, was driving the other car. He has serious injuries.
