Deadly shooting on Limoges Drive was attempted armed robbery, Sheriff says

Boone County deputies say 26-year-old Ahmonta Harris was in the process of committing an armed robbery at a home on Limoges Drive just after 11 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say Harris threatened a 20-year-old in the home, who was also armed.

The resident shot Harris multiple times, killing him.

The 20-year-old and two others in the home were not injured.

Deputies did not say if anyone was arrested yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
