Deer prevalent on Missouri roads in November

Watch for deer on the roads.

Capt. John Hotz with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says November is a big month for wrecks involving those animals.

“Most of these folks who are injured are killed are actually in vehicles who take some sort of corrective action and unfortunately they over-correct and they lose control of their vehicle,” Hotz tells Missourinet.

Hotz says there were 4,090 crashes involving deer in Missouri in 2018. Six people died.
