Hospitals in Missouri are getting overwhelmed again by a rising number of COVID-19 patients.
Capital Region Medical Center’s Dr. Randall Haight says they’re worried about how the Delta variant of the virus has caused another strain on local hospitals.
“[Experts] are predicting a month from now [that] Missouri will have worse hospital utilization relating to COVID than we did in November,” said Haight.
Haight says Capital Region Medical Center is full right now, with about one-tenth of those battling COVID-19. He adds most of those patients are in their 40’s and 50’s.
