New information in the search for a missing Columbia woman.
Court documents say Mengqi Ji Elledge’s husband, Joseph, waited more than a day to report her missing. Officers say that he also went on a long drive through unfamiliar remote parts of mid-Missouri before he made the report on Oct. 10.
Joseph Elledge is in jail, but it’s not over that. It’s on felony child abuse charges. Investigators say he admitted to hitting his daughter so hard she bruised.
