The man charged in last week’s deadly central Columbia shooting is now in custody.
Rickey Murry, 48, was booked into Boone County Jail early Thursday morning. He is accused of first degree murder and armed criminal action. He is in jail with no bond. His first hearing is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
Prosecutors say Murry shot 51-year-old Corey Jordan in Douglass Park near North Providence and Worley on the night of Aug. 25.
