Columbia’s popular True/False film fest continues Friday throughout downtown.

Today’s big event is the parade, which will begin at 5:15 at the Boone County Courthouse square. Participants will march down 9th street to the Missouri Theatre. Participants are encouraged to dress colorfully and to carry fun props.

More than 10,000 people are expected to be downtown for the festival, which began Thursday and continues through Sunday night. The four-day festival will feature 130 screenings of 35 full-length documentaries and 20 short films.

Columbia’s city council has approved $15,000 in tourism development funds to help with filmmakers’ travel expenses. Expect longer waits all weekend at Columbia restaurants and bars.
