Downtown JC buildings could face forced demolition

Is another Jefferson City building in danger of collapsing?

The building at the corner of High and Madison was evacuated back in June after it partially collapsed. And now two buildings next door could risk the same fate because of shared walls. All three buildings date to the late 19th century.

Jefferson City inspectors says they plan to meet with the building owners and could potentially order forced demolition.

The business owner at 202 East High is moving out.
