Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz says there is a real problem in the United States when it comes to police shootings.
“The atrocities that have occurred on videotape in the last three months…it’s not right,” Drinkwitz said during a press conference after Wednesday’s practice. “There was no reason for seven shots to be fired in that situation, and that’s my opinion.”
Players on Drinkwitz’s team led a march by Mizzou athletics against racism in June to the Boone County Courthouse after a police officer killed George Floyd. Dozens of athletes registered to vote.
