UPDATE: Suspect in Ashland abduction attempt described as a white male

Ashland Police Chief Gabe Edwards tells 939 the Eagle that the suspect in Tuesday’s reported attempted abduction is believed to be a white male.

Authorities in Ashland are investigating an attempted abduction that happened Tuesday afternoon near Oak and Tandy.

Ashland Police say the juvenile was not physically harmed, and they’re urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Ashland Police say the responded to the attempted abduction at about 1:45 Tuesday afternoon and obtained a suspect description and immediately canvassed the area.

They also used a drone and conducted an air search, and the suspect has not been located. Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
