An 80-year-old man from mid-Missouri’s Russellville is jailed without bond this (Tuesday) morning, accused of trying to hire someone to kill two people.

Cole County Sheriff John Wheeler says 80-year-old Harley Koestner was arrested Sunday morning at a Russellville convenience store and is now being held in the Cole County jail. Cole County prosecutor Locke Thompson tells 939 the Eagle that his office has charged Koestner with two counts of first degree attempted murder and with one count of conspiracy to commit a felony.
