Elledge trial set for Nov. 1

A Columbia man accused of killing his wife will spend most of 2021 in jail waiting for his trial.

Judge J. Hasbrouck Jacobs on Wednesday set a Nov. 1 trial date for Joseph Elledge. Prosecutors say he murdered his wife, Mengqi Ji, in October 2019 and got rid of her body.

Elledge has pleaded not guilty. He is in jail with no bond.
