Elledge’s Columbia murder trial may be delayed

A St. Louis attorney representing Columbia murder suspect Joseph Elledge wants a delay in the upcoming murder trial.

Joseph Elledge is charged with first degree murder, for the 2019 death of his wife Mengi Ji.

His trial is set to start on November 1, but ABC-17 News reports attorney Scott Rosenblum says he needs more time to review records sent by Boone County Prosecutor Dan Knight, including forensic lab reports.

ABC-17 quotes Rosenblum as saying those witnesses could be called at the trial to discuss “soil science, meteorology and plant sciences.”
