After 80 years in business, Empire Roller Rink closed its doors for the last time after a “Celebration Last Skate” on Sunday.
The owner of the Columbia institution on Bus. Loop 70 says he could not find a buyer to keep it open for roller skaters.
He decided to sell the building to the local Habitat for Humanity.
