Escaped Sedalia inmate found in southern Missouri

The inmate that escaped work detail in Sedalia last week has been found.

Authorities in southern Missouri’s Ozark County caught Jason Laird on Saturday. He allegedly slipped away from guards while working on the Missouri State Fairgrounds last week, and stole a MoDOT truck.

He was found just outside a house near Brixley. Two women were also arrested at that house.
