Repairs are underway on the traffic signals at Providence and Vandiver in north Columbia. That’s just north of I-70.
Public Works crews responded to a traffic light malfunction on Thursday morning, so they decided to work to fix the damaged traffic signal pole at the same location.
Public Works spokesman John Ogan tells 939 the Eagle that the pole was bent earlier, because a vehicle collided with it.
He says workers are replacing the traffic light pole and signal base at the intersection’s southeast corner. That work is expected to be completed by next Friday (March 11).
