Names released of four dead in I-70 crash

Four people have now died in that crash Wednesday on I-70 just east of Columbia.

Jennifer Temple of Columbia was 44 years old. Vicky Moore, 60, and 63-year-old Cindy Spradlin, both of Auxvasse, also died. Ohio native 63-year-old Otto Kramer is dead too.

The Highway Patrol says Kramer’s semi slammed into cars driven by Spradlin and Temple. Those cars were stopped because of an earlier accident near the Lake of the Woods exit.

Authorities say a tractor trailer hauling some cars caught fire a little before noon at mile marker 131 in the westbound lanes, backing up traffic. The deadly, six-vehicle pileup happened minutes later behind that at mile marker 133.

The wreck closed the interstate for hours.
